The solution is to uninstall
A.M. then reinstall it after the O.T. is updated.
3. Is
there an option to EnterNet for the Mac?
Yes, all are listed on
this website.
4. I've
removed EnterNet / Access Manager from my Mac should I do anything else?
You should reinstall your
Open Transport (OT).
5. EnterNet freezes
after connection is established on an iMac
There are two possibilities:
One crash has been found to be fixed by upgrading the iMac system
and CD-ROM firmware. Contact Apple for firmware updates. A more common
problem is due to running AppleTalk over the Ethernet interface to
the broadband network. This will easily cause AppleTalk collisions
with other systems that may also be broadcasting over the same wire.
Efficient Networks (Formerly NTS) recommends in all cases to avoid
problems with AppleTalk by pointing the AppleTalk device on the control
panel to a Remote or Printer port.
6. Will
EnterNet work with the AirPort wireless system? (A.M. also works)
New - Upgrading to
the Airport Software version 1.3 will allow you to remove any PPPoE
software from your Mac. Make sure you add the domain of your ISP in
the domain field when turning PPPoE on inside the AirPort.
Yes using the Airport as
Ethernet bridging.
Macintosh or PC with an
802.11 DSSS compliant wireless interface card such as the Lucent Orinoco
(Wavelan) 11Mb Gold or Silver card and the appropriate software.
Apple Airport base station
CPE equipment
Connecting a Macintosh to DSL through the Airport:

Compatible with OS8 through
9.
Using Airport software
version 1.1
EnterNet compatible with
OS 8 or 9
Airport:
The Airport need to be configured
as a straight bridge or deactivate the Internet sharing option.

card and drivers insuring that the card is recognized by the system
and is not reporting any conflicts
2) Configure the Airport to deactivate the Internet sharing option.
3) Configure TCP/IP from Control Panel following the standard ISP configuration
Method.
4) Open Ethernet 300 and configure to use the Airport Card or Wavelan
card as connection method, instead of your regular Ethernet card. Save

5) Connect the DSL modem Ethernet cable from the modem RJ45 port to
the Airport RJ45 port. If you wish to use a hub, insure to connect the
modem to the hub using a crossover cable or connect the modem to the
uplink port of the hub.

a wireless high speed solution.
7. EnterNet
fails after installing or updating the Mac Open Transport.
EnterNet must be reinstalled
whenever the Open Transport library is reinstalled or updated.
8. Does
EnterNet support Mac OS 9.04?
Yes, but EnterNet must be
reinstalled.
9. Error:
EnterNet Extension isn't loaded; the Control Strip is displayed as inactive.
In some cases the problem
has occurred because of the Automatic Update feature in OS 9.0. Efficient
Networks (Formerly NTS) recommends you do not enable this feature. In
other cases it appears that the Efficient Networks (Formerly NTS) installer
has been prevented from updating the Open Transport Internet library.
Usually the problem can be cleared up by saving the following files
from your System Folder -> Extensions directory, moving them to a
saved folder outside of the extensions (do not rename them), unstuffing
(using Stuffit 5.x) the appropriate file into your Extension folder,
and rebooting. EnterNet:
Mac OS 8.6 and below: Open
Tpt Internet Library
Mac OS 9.0 and above: Open
Transport ASLM Modules Access
Manager:
Mac OS 8.6 and below: Open
Tpt Internet Library
Mac OS 9.0 and above: Open
Transport ASLM Modules
