1. How do I configure PPPoE is OSX, 10.1, and 10.2?

1) Double click "System Preferences"
2) Double click "Network"
3) Click on drop down "Show" menu -> Select your Ethernet device
4) Click on the "PPPoE" tab
5) Check off "Connect using PPPoE"
6) Enter "Account Name", your userid as provided by your ISP.
Note: you may need to include your ISP's domain as part of your userid. Ex. For Verizon customers it would be userid@verizon.net.
7) Enter "Password" as provided by your ISP
8) Check off "Save Password"
9) Click "Show Status in Menu bar"
10) Click "Apply Now"
11) Launch your browser and surf away!

Note: You may need to:
1) Double click "System Preferences"
2) Double click "Network"
3) Click on drop down "Show" menu -> Select your Ethernet device
4) Click on "TCP/IP"
5) Choose configure "Using PPP"
6) Click on "Save"
7) Click on your desktop.
8) Go to the "Go" menu in your Finder tool bar
9) Choose "Applications"
10) Double click on "Internet Connect"
11) In "Configuration" select the Ethernet device connected to your broadband modem (Generally listed on new Macs as "Built-in Ethernet")

10.2 is slightly different.
In System Preferences, under Network, create a New Location. Under PPPoE, select the top box, enter your information. Under TCP/IP, connect using PPP, and do NOT enter a DNS. Apply changes, and reconnect.

2. How do you set the PPPoE options in OSX & 10.1?

1) Double click "System Preferences"
2) Double click "Network"
3) Click on drop down "Show" menu -> Select your Ethernet device
4) Click on the "PPPoE" tab
5) Click on "PPPoE Options"
6) We suggest checking off "Connect Automatically when..." and "Send PPP echo packets". We suggests making sure nothing else is checked off.
7) Click "OK"

3. How do I adjust the MTU value in OS X PPPoE?

1) Log in using your administrator account. Open a terminal window (in the Finder it's Go -> Applications, then double click the Terminal icon in the Applications window)
2)Type in "cd /etc"
3)Type in "sudo mkdir ppp", and enter your administrator password when asked.
4)Type "sudo pico /etc/ppp/ip-up"
5) type in the following:
#!/bin/sh (Note: Yes you need to hit enter before typing the next line)
/sbin/ifconfig ppp0 mtu 1450 (Note: 1450 only represents the new MTU you want to use to be no higher then 1492)
6) Close the text editor 'Pico' using "control" and "x", save the file when asked (simply press "enter")
7) Type "sudo chmod 755 /etc/ppp/ip-up"
8) Surf Away!

You can also try this:
1) Log in using your administrator account. Open a terminal window (in the Finder it's Go -> Applications, then double click the Terminal icon in the Applications window)
2) Open the network file located at /System -> Library -> StartupItems -> Network -> Network
3) Find the references to setting up your network interface
4) Add a line and enter ifconfig en1 mtu 1492 for airport or ifconfig en0 mtu 1492 for Ethernet.
